Not to be confused with Weekly Chores
Faction chores are an old system that have not been fully removed from the game. There is an NPC in your faction house that will claim to be preparing chores, but not have any available. Unfortunately, they have been working on them for many months now. There is also a section for these visible at the bottom of the faction tab in your Codex.
It is unknown at this time if Faction Chores will be available again, or completely removed.
Faction Chores were another way to earn Marks in addition to the Pet and Kitchen. Three chores would be displayed at a time in a menu, and you could complete any of them that you liked. They followed the mechanics present in Weekly Chores, with cooking, eating, harvesting, and so on. Once a chore was complete and you collected the Marks for it, the next one in the queue would take its place. Emblems and equipment bonuses did increase Marks earned from Faction chores.
An interesting situation would occur when the same chore would appear in two different slots, allowing you to get double the amount of Marks for the same effort. For example, “Chop 20 Trees” in two slots, meaning when you completed the task you could claim both chores at the same time.
Faction Chores could be skipped like deliveries, but only if they had been available to you for at least 24 hours. The complexity of the chores increased as you completed them, but so did the rewards.
