Not to be confused with Faction Chores, an inactive and possibly obsolete mechanic
“Complete chores for Bumpkins to earn Chapter Tickets.” (Or other resources)
Chores are another way for you to earn those all-important Chapter Tickets, especially for new players. Unlike deliveries, Chores can be completed without leaving your farm, and involve more than just giving up resources or food.
Every chore is tied to an NPC, but this is primarily cosmetic as completing a chore does not earn delivery points with that character. The progress bar underneath shows you how close you are to completion for it, and when done you can just click the Complete button to earn your Tickets immediately. Items that boost Tickets also work for chores.
Many chores, especially those near the bottom of the menu, are extremely expensive and only suitable for high-level players. The amount of Tickets is usually not worth the effort, unless you are doing a lot of that action anyway and can get some extra value from it.
Chores are tied to the weekly schedule, and will reset on Monday with the new season. For Auction Week and the weeks between chapters when Ticket NPCs are unavailable for deliveries, chores will reward another resource such as Coins or Gems. Gem chores are highly recommended to pursue.
There is no notification or indicator in the game of when you have completed a chore, so make sure to check the tab from time to time, especially at the end of the week, to make sure you collect any that you've already completed.
These chores require you to obtain a certain crop, fruit, flower, or other plant resource. Note that the requirement is for a certain number of harvest actions, not the amount of resource that's actually obtained. For example, if the chore is “Harvest Beetroot 40 times," then you must pull up 40 plots worth of Beetroot. Even if you have 20 plots that are boosted to output 2 Beetroot per harvest, you will only complete the chore halfway. Similarly, if you get +1 flower when harvesting a bed, it will not count toward the total for the chore.
These are for trees and mineral nodes, including Crimstone. Again, you must harvest that node type so many times, no matter how much resource you get out of it.
Simply use the required amount of fishing rods or digging tools. A Sand Drill counts as one dig. What you find doesn't matter, as long as you attempt it. Some of these chores, especially digging, may require you to do more actions than you are capable of doing every day, so do the math before you attempt them. (e.g. Dig 225 times, meaning your daily dig limit must be at least 33, meaning you cannot complete this unless you own the Heart of Davy Jones)
Similar to the harvest actions, these are for animal products like eggs, milk, and wool. Regardless of how much you obtain on each feeding, you must do it that number of times.
Honey is an exception, as the chore does count the amount of honey you actually collect, not the number of times you collect it. That means if it asks you to “Collect 11 Honey” and you collect it 10 times at 1.1 Honey per collection, you will complete the chore.
These chores require you to cook a certain food a specific number of times. You can then do whatever you like with the food, whether you eat it, deliver it, or anything else. Food obtained from chests or other rewards do not count for these chores, only those you collect from your own cooking stations.
These chores require you to feed the requested food to your Bumpkin. It does not matter how you got it, whether from your buildings or as a reward, as long as it is eaten before the week is over.
Make the required amount of tool at your workbench. Then use them to fulfill other chores!
Every so often Tywin or another royal appears to tax your hard-earned money. You must spend the required amount of Coins, whether at your market, workbench, or another store. All fees for crafting weather items and digging tools also count as spent Coins.
