Marks are the primary currency of the Kingdom, and all four Factions as a result. You will earn Marks for contributing to your Faction Pet, making deliveries to the Faction Kitchen, and playing minigames at the portal outside the Bumpkin House.
Marks can be traded in for powerful items at Eldric's shop, and can also be redeemed at the Mega Bounty Board for Chapter Tickets.
Emblems are a resource that have no direct use, but are still valuable for any Faction member. There are four different Emblems, one for each Faction, and can be bought and sold on the Marketplace under the Resources tab (at the bottom). You can only trade the Emblems of the faction that you are currently in.
Once you obtain a certain number of Emblems, the amount of Marks you earn from the Pet and Kitchen will be increased. This is called earning a Rank in the Faction. The amount of Emblems needed for each Rank, and the Mark multiplier for each, can be seen here: https://sfl.world/util/factions
It is not strictly necessary to obtain Emblems to participate in a Faction, but as the Rank 5 +150% bonus only requires an average of 335 Emblems, and the average price at the time of this writing is 0.06 FLOWER per emblem, you only need roughly 20 FLOWER to obtain a substantial boost to the amount of Marks you earn.
Eldric sells a large amount of items in the Faction Shop, and it can seem overwhelming until you realize that you can only purchase ¼ of them; items not meant for your Faction are visible but not purchaseable. The items available there can be broken down into several categories:
There are several decorative items and wearables which provide no boosts, but will demonstrate your Faction's aesthetic to any visitors to your farm.
There are three food items which can be purchased with Marks, though their cost to XP value is lower compared to cooked food.
You can obtain keys for the Basic, Rare, and Luxury Chests with Marks, though you can only get one of each per day.
You can buy hourglasses that will:
The real power of the Faction shop comes in the equipment pieces that you can buy, which can provide large bonuses if invested in properly. Each Faction's equipment have the same benefits, only the styles are different.
As you can see, these items are designed for players who put in the time and effort to contribute to their Faction. The costs may be high, but the benefits are even higher. The only item that has a prerequisite is the crown, you can buy the others in any order. However, a solid strategy is to buy them in the order listed here, each purchase increasing the speed at which you can obtain the next one.
If for some reason you decide to leave your Faction after purchasing one of these items, it will cease to function.
