Sunflower Land is designed as a journey. From a humble farmer planting seeds to a master explorer unlocking rare resources, crafting advanced items, and shaping the economy. This guide serves as your compass in exploring the vast world of Sunflower Land.
For returning players please read the recap section first.

Your journey begins after creating a Farm. Learn and explore the basics on the Basic/Tutorial Island.
Gathering resources is your first task. Start chopping down Trees for Wood using the Axe tool provided to you. As you advance, you'll be able to mine Minerals (Gold, Iron, and Stone). The right tool is needed to harvest each kind of resource node. Tools are consumables (ex. you lose 1 Axe each time you chop down 1 Tree) thus you're going to craft more Tools at Blacksmith's Workbench for future gathering.
|
You can expand your land to increase space and discover more Resource nodes once you've acquired the expansion materials required. Completing an expansion will instantly regenerate most Resource Nodes (Trees, Stone, Iron, Gold, Crimstone and Oil Wells only). You can use Gems to instantly complete the Expansion time (Basic/Tutorial and Petal Island only).
|
|
Resources needed for future expansions.
After finishing your initial Land Expansion you'll be able to plant and harvest crops by unlocking the Crop Plots. You can buy more seeds and sell your harvested crops for Coins at Betty's Market. It will always be Spring Season on the Basic/Tutorial Island which only allows you plant crops/produce limited for Spring Season. You'll unlock the full four-seasons once you upgrade to Petal Island.
|
After finishing your second Land Expansion, you discover the Fire Pit (a type of Cooking Building). You can now cook and prepare food to feed and level up your Bumpkin. For additional food options, construct the other Cooking Buildings from the Blacksmith's Workbench Build Tab.

Delivery is a system where NPCs request specific items (Crops, Resources, Food, Flowers and Crafted items) in exchange for rewards like Coins, $FLOWER, and Chapter Tickets. You can ignore Chapter Ticket deliveries at this stage.
To complete a delivery, travel through the World Map to various locations (Plaza, Beach, and Kingdom) and interact with the corresponding NPC. The first 15 deliveries refresh automatically while deliveries from the 16th onward reset once daily at 00:00 UTC. Each day, a new NPC delivery is assigned (same for all players).
However keep in mind that not all deliveries are profitable nor worth completing. You can only skip a delivery on the following day it is assigned.
More info regarding NPC Delivery.
Some Crop Plots appear dried up when you discover them which makes them unusable for planting. Building a Water Well gives them their plot fertility that enables you to plant crops on them. You need to upgrade your Water Well as you unlock more Crop Plots.

You can redistribute your skill points via the skill reset. Each player receives a free skill reset then the next one becomes available after 180-days. Your main focus in the early game should be on leveling up and expanding your land. Some features available early on are best ignored, as they can quickly deplete your resources and slow your overall progress. These include:
You can Prestige or upgrade to a new island once you’ve reached the maximum number of Land Expansions available and gathered the required upgrade resources. Upgrading will unlock more game mechanics and discover new resources.
The Prestige progression: Basic/tutorial > Petal > Desert > Volcano > Swamp (coming soon)

Chapters are recurring three-month-long events in Sunflower Land. You can complete various tasks to earn Chapter Tickets which can be used to bid at the Auction House or purchase Chapter-exclusive Collectibles and Wearables from Stella’s Store.
Tasks that reward Chapter Tickets include:
Each Chapter features its own exclusive Stella's Store Items, Chapter Ticket, Digging Treasure and Mutants. They are only obtainable during their own specific Chapter. Once a new Chapter begins, the remaining previous Chapter Tickets and Digging Treasures cannot be used to buy at Stella's Store anymore but they still can be sold for Coins.
You do not need to complete every task at this stage. Many tasks can be costly so prioritize the ones you can manage while continuing to build your farm. You can instead use this time to experience the flow of how things work to better prepare for upcoming Chapters.

Mutants are Chapter-exclusive collectibles that randomly spawn when you do certain tasks. Mutants can either be a boost or a cosmetic.
